Course content
|
Principles of a computer as a basic means of data processing. Unification and review of basic user skills. Working with the operating system. Practising working with a word processor. Practicing working with spreadsheets. Basic statistics, creating tables and graphs. Creating presentations. Practicing internet searching, using electronic libraries and databases, Medline. Using antiviruses, practical application of security and email. Practising the use of healthcare systems.

Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the course is to consolidate, repeat and develop knowledge of computers, computer software and information systems with a focus on the needs of health and social care.
Students acquire knowledge and practical skills in working with information technology. After graduation, students will have a basic knowledge of the Windows operating system, MS Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and will be able to work in a health information system.

Assessment methods and criteria

Written examination, Student performance assessment
Specified compulsory attendance in seminars and lectures. Passing a written test or an oral exam, or other conditions, as decided by the course guarantor. Completing and defending the assigned written work in MS PowerPoint.
