Course content

Health and illness, case history Subjective and objective symptoms Fundamentals of physical examination Examination methods, fundamental and specialized radiodiagnostics, ultrasound examinations, radionuclide examination methods, electrographic methods, and endoscopic examination methods Functional examination of the heart and lungs, the digestive system, and the kidneys; endocrinological examination. Monitoring and measurement of physiological functions. Preparation of the patient for radiodiagnostal examinations and care patient after exercise. Electrographic examination methods. Endoscopic examination methods, preparation and care of patients. Functional examination, preparation of the patient, procedures.

Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the subject is to acquire basic clinical concepts in the field of internal medicine and investigation methods.
Students know basic clinical terms, the most common clinical symptoms, and investigation methods. They will be able to prepare and educate the patient before the investigation procedure and will care for him or her after the procedure. They will use their knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and nursing.

Didactic test
Completion of compulsory 80% attendance at the practicum sessions. Successful completion of a written test.
