Course content
Health and illness, case history Subjective and objective symptoms Fundamentals of physical examination Examination methods, fundamental and specialized radiodiagnostics, ultrasound examinations, radionuclide examination methods, electrographic methods, and endoscopic examination methods Functional examination of the heart and lungs, the digestive system, and the kidneys; endocrinological examination

Learning outcomes
The aim of the subject is to acquire basic clinical concepts in the field of internal medicine and investigation methods.
Students know basic clinical terms, the most common clinical symptoms, and investigation methods. They will be able to prepare and educate the patient before the investigation procedure and will care for him or her after the procedure. They will use their knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and nursing.

Assessment methods and criteria
Didactic test

Completion of compulsory 50% attendance at the lectures. Completion of compulsory 80% attendance at the practicum sessions and seminars. Successful completion of a written test.
