Course content
|
Fundamental terminology in anaesthesiology and resuscitation, and general anaesthesia. Local anaesthesia, preoperative preparation, and monitoring in anaesthesia. Pain treatment. Fundamentals of cardio-pulmonary-cerebral resuscitation in the field and in the hospital. Intensive care, definition of specialty intensive care and intensive care shared between specialties, monitoring in intensive care. Respiratory pathways, securing, care of respiratory pathways, humidity, oxygenotherapy, artificial lung ventilation, ventilators. Admission of the patient and the injured in a serious condition - emergency.

Learning outcomes
|
The aim is to acquire knowledge and skills in the area of intensive care and anaesthesia.
The student will gain basic dexterity for conducting first aid that is safe and of good quality.

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Student performance assessment, Didactic test
Completion of compulsory 60% attendance at the lectures. Completion of compulsory 80% attendance at the practicum sessions and seminars. Successful completion of a written test.
