Introduction to surgery. Head and neck surgery. Neurosurgery. Endocrinosurgery. Chest surgery. Abdominal surgery. Cardiac surgery and vascular surgery. Urology. Traumatology. Paediatric surgery. Plastic surgery.

Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the course is to become familiar with diagnostics, treatments, and nursing aspects of selected surgical illnesses and injuries.
The student knows and is able to practically apply basic knowledge of the following surgical subspecialties: head and neck surgery, neurosurgery, endocrinosurgery, chest surgery, abdominal surgery, cardiac surgery, vascular surgery, urology, traumatology, child surgery, and plastic surgery.

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Home assignment evaluation, Didactic test, Discussion
Completion of compulsory 80% attendance at the lectures. Completion of compulsory 85% attendance at the practicum sessions and seminars. Successful completion of a written test. Successful completion of a written test or an oral examination according to the course guarantor's decision.
