Course content
|
Bleeding, basics of infusion therapy. Shock conditions. Parenteral and enteral nutrition. Intoxication, infections arising during hospitalization. Brain death, transplant programme. Tracheostomy - preparation of instruments, assistance and follow-up care of tracheostomy cannula. Invasive monitoring of a patient in ARO (arterial catheter, measurement of intracranial pressure, mean arterial pressure, intra-abdominal pressure).

Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the course is to introduce students to basic concepts and topics in the field of intensive and resuscitation care.
Students know the specifics of care for critically ill patients and they are able to provide nursing care within the scope of their competences in intensive care units, emergency admission and anaesthesiology and resuscitation wards.
