Course content
Subjective and objective signs. Examination methods in Cardiology. Heart failure, arrhythmia, syncope. Acute coronary syndromes, ischemic heart disease. Arterial hypertension. Vein trombosis a pulmonary embolism. Valvular heart disease, carditis, and cardiomyopathy. Tuberculosis of the lungs, and other tuberculosis. Respiratory tract inflammations. Asthma bronchiale and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Diabetes mellitus type I, type II, and its complications. Ulcer diseases of stomach and duodenum. Cholelithiasis, cholecystitis, pankreatitis. Hepatitides, cirrhosis, portal hypertension. Unspecific inflammatory bowel diseases. Renal diseases, renal failure, and dialysis. Haematological diseases. Rheumatic diseases, metabolism of Calcium in a human body, and osteoporosis. Endocrinological diseases.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the subject is to broaden students'knowledge of clinical signs of basic diseases, diagnostic and treatment possibilities, including prevention.
The student will be capable to assess clinical conditions of patients with diseased of the internal character. The students will be acquainted with standard diagnostic procedures of examination methods.
