Course content
Social reality and empirical research. Ethical aspects of research. Formulation of research objectives, creation of hypotheses and research questions. Choice of research strategy. Data collection techniques. Data processing methods. Data interpretation. Preparation of a research project. Formulation of objectives, selection of methods. Field data collection. Data processing. Interpretation and presentation of results.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to introduce students to the basic concepts of scientific research methodology, the basic methods of data collection and processing within the quantitative and qualitative approaches, and to offer them practical experience with basic research techniques and working with the collected data, including the interpretation of results.
Students are familiar with terminology from the field of scientific research methodology, research methods, and data collection techniques. They are able to appropriately select research strategies and data collection tools and subsequently evaluate and interpret data.
