Course content
|
Anatomy and physiology of the nervous system. Localization of disorders of brain function. Central and peripheral paresis. Sensitivity disorders, speech disorders, neuralgia. Basic brain and spinal cord syndromes. Ancillary examinations (EEG, EMG, cerebrospinal fluid). Cerebrovascular accidents. Multiple sclerosis. Neuromuscular diseases. Epilepsy and seizure conditions.

Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the subject is to acquaint students with clinical conditions and diseases that affect the nervous system and with preventive and treatment measures.
The student will learn to evaluate current clinical conditions in neurology and will understand the special features in the care of these patients.

Written examination, Student performance assessment
Completion of compulsory 50% attendance at the lectures. Successful completion of a written test (75%).
