Learning outcomes
The aim of the subject Radiation protection is to acquaint students with basic principles, objectives, and legislative requirements associated with the application of ionizing radiation and the use of radionuclides. In an understandable way, the subject summarizes the fundamental quantities and units that are needed to quantify radiation exposure of individuals; special attention is paid to the control of radiation exposure of workers, the population, and patients. The subject includes an overview of dose limits, and potential emergency situations. Everything is in the scope of knowledge necessary for professional activities associated with the use of ionizing radiation.
The student is familiar with the main aspects of work with radionuclides and solution of emergency situations.
