Course content
|
Symptomatology of kidney and urinary tract diseases. Specific methods in urological diagnosis and treatment. Congenital anomalies of the urogenital tract. Kidney, urinary and genital tracts infections. Urolithiasis. Traumatology in urology. Urooncology. Benign prostatic hyperplasia. Urinary incontinence. Andrology. Renal failure. Nursing process in patients with urolithiasis. Nursing process in patients with inflammatory diseases of the kidneys and urinary tract. Nursing process in patients with renal, adrenal, and urinary tract, prostate and epididymal cancer. Nursing process in patients with renal insufficiency and renal failure. Nursing process in dialysis patients.

Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the course is to familiarize students with diseases of the urinary tract, male genital organs and retroperitoneum.
Based on the knowledge gained, students identify nursing problems and plan individualized nursing care.

Didactic test
80 % compulsory attendance in seminars. Passing a written test or an oral exam as decided by the course guarantor.
