Course content
|
Health care operational centre. Legal aspects of operational management. Conducting a telephone call - receiving a distress call, telephone-assisted emergency resuscitation and telephone-assisted first aid. Communication technologies, telephone and radio systems. Excursion to the fire rescue service and the tasks of the emergency line 112. Receiving a distress call. Telephone-assisted emergency resuscitation, telephone-assisted first aid, and telephone-assisted medication administration.

Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the subject is to introduce students to the fundamentals of operational management, mainly the health care operational centre (HOC), its activities, the distress call system, and the processing of distress calls. During class, students learn about the legal and psychological aspects such as communication with the caller and his or her impact on the operator's work.
The student knows the specifics of the health care rescue service teams and collaboration with other integrated rescue system bodies, mainly while addressing emergencies. Additionally, the student will learn the basics of communication technologies and monitoring of quality control pertaining to the HOC.

Completion of compulsory 85% active attendance at the lectures and practicum sessions. Completion of written test.
