Course content

The position of oncology in clinical medicine. Epidemiology of tumours in the CR. Tumours of the CNS. Tumours of the head and neck. Tumours of the chest. Tumours of the gastrointestinal tract. Tumours of the kidneys, urinary pathways, and male reproductive system. Tumours of the female reproductive organs. Tumours of the breast. Tumours of the hematopoietic tissue. Tumours of the skin.

Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the subject is to provide students with the most important information from the field of clinical oncology. To acquaint them with the epidemiology of tumours in the CR and with specific issues related to tumour diseases from various clinical disciplines.
The student knows the diagnosis, treatment, and principles of nursing care of oncology patients, is able to plan, manage, and evaluate the nursing process in relation to the special features of tumour diseases in specific areas.

Completion of compulsory 80% attendance at the lectures. Completion of compulsory 80% attendance at the practicum sessions and seminars. Completing assigned written work. Successful completion of an oral examination.
