Course content
|
Approaches to managing healthcare organizations, process classification, process maturity. Measurement of processes and setting of process objectives in relation to the strategy of the healthcare organization, methods and tools for quality management. Process model development; methodologies and standards of process modelling. Statistical and graphical tools, advantages and risks of their use in process control. Project management, principles and rules, concepts. Project management as part of strategic management of an organisation. Practical tools for project management. Modelling of selected processes, determination of key performance indicators. Work with management tools, incl. IT tools for decision support and quality management. Project planning, scheduling, resource allocation. Modelling of a selected healthcare project including financial analysis.

Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the course is to acquire knowledge and skills in the field of process and project management with a focus on healthcare organizations and the application of management informatics tools, then the extension of the topic would include decision support tools, graphical modelling tools and model examples.
Students have the skills and knowledge required for process and project management in a healthcare organization.

Specified compulsory attendance at lectures and seminars. Completing the final assignment with Process and Project Analysis. Passing a written exam test.
