Course content
Choice of topics; evaluation of the importance of information. Copy reading, choice and arrangement of news in newspaper, radio, television. Graphics of printed media. Photographs in reporting and publishing. Journalistic codex, truthfulness, credibility. Objectivity and balance of journalistic information. Censorship. Protection of sources of information. Print laws. Personality protection vs. freedom of the word and freedom of manifestation. Law of free access to information. Advertisement as a social phenomenon; ethics of propagation and advertisement. Press agents. Public relations and public opinion.

Learning outcomes
The aim of this course is to teach students to apply creatively the knowledge of journalistic genres, reporting and publishing for printed media, radio and television broadcasting, and Internet media.
Students will develop their own opinion-making processes and oral or written presentations in public.

Oral examination, Home assignment evaluation, Oral performance analysis, Work-related product analysis, Creative work analysis

Attendance at seminars is obligatory. Credit is dependent on composing three seminar papers from journalistic production: an interview, a television report script, and a page on one topic for printed media on a topical issue. The examination will check the knowledge gained from the contents of the courses MPE1 and MPE2. During the examination, the student is expected to defend, in an expert discussion, their written seminar papers from journalistic production.
