Course content
|
1. Repetitory lecture 2-3. Friendship. Expressing assumptions and conditions, describing emotional relations with other people - friendship. Construction and use of conditional sentences, verb government, singular and plural dative forms, conjugation of pronoun ?się?, declension of noun ?przyjaciel? (friend). 4-5. Home appliances. Defining aim and purpose of equipment from the nearest surrounding, encouraging to do the shopping, to adverising, comparison of past and present. Impersonal verbs in present and past tense, creation and use of gerunds. 6-7. Technology and inventions. Expressing satisfaction and discontent, complaint, claim, describing inventions and discoveries and their use in everyday life. Creation and use of passive participial adjectives, creation and use of passive voice. 8-9 Mood. Expressing positive and negative feelings, asking about the mood. Health, healthy lifestyle. Creation and use of imperative mood, in positive and negative forms, the aspect in imperative mood. 10-11. Tourism. Encouraging and discouraging for various ways of spending time, telling about the trips. Tourism and travelling. Adpositional phrases in the function of adverbials of place. 12. Repetitory lecture

Learning outcomes
|
Expected entry language competence is A2 of European Framework for Language Competence. The goal of the course is to manage with Polish grammar, to develop communication skills and vocabulary, and to use them in dialogue exercises. Students will master topics of everyday life. Classwork will contain topics form every day life and professional life. Expected exit language competence is B1 of European Framework for Language Competence.

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Oral examination, Student performance assessment, Oral performance analysis, Didactic test
Credit will be based on: oral and written prelims (several times per semester), two bigger written tests (in the middle and at the end of the semester) and oral and written exam at the end of the semester. Credit will not be given to the students who will not have at least 80% attendance (there will be special written assignment in the case of non-excuse absence).
