Corrosion resistant materials ? plastics as corrosion protective materials. Procedure during projection of corrosion protection. Stress corrosion.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Monologic (reading, lecture, briefing), Dialogic (discussion, interview, brainstorming)
Learning outcomes
Aim of learning is introduce student with basic corrosion mechanisms especially metallic materials. Students are acquainting with influence of different corroding mediums to various materials. There are show basic principles and methods of corrosion-preventive protecting of materials.
Student knows basic mechanisms of corrosions, suitability of chosen materials and their corrosion protection. Students know characteristics of common corrosion environments and risks of service in these environments. Students know basic principles of corrosion-preventive protecting including choosing of proper method of design modification and surface protection for increasing of corrosion resistivity.
Prerequisites
Prerequisite is basic understanding of constructional materials in the range of ?Materials Science? and knowledge of secondary school chemistry.
