Course content
Kinematics of point, harmonic motion, kinematics of rigid body (translation and rotary motion). Kinematics of general plane motion, basic resolution of motion (motion as sum of a translation and a rotation). Dynamics of free motion of a particle in a plane. Dynamics of fixed motion of a particle in a plane, dynamics of relative motion of a particle. Dynamics of translation of rigid body, dynamics of rotation of rigid body about a fixed axis. Moments of inertia. Dynamics of rolling cylinder. Vibration of mechanical oscillator with single degree of freedom, free vibration, forced damping vibration-harmonic exciting force, polyharmonic excitation. Vibration of mechanical oscillator with single degree of freedom, exciting force as function of revolutions, kinematics excitation. Free oscillation of linear oscillator with two degree of freedom, natural frequency, natural mode of vibration. Forced vibration of linear oscillator with two degree of freedom, theory of dynamic damper. Lagrange´s equations, bases of vibration of continuum. Longitudinal vibration of thin uniform beams, Rayleigh´s energetic method. Time reserve and summary.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Monologic (reading, lecture, briefing), Dialogic (discussion, interview, brainstorming)
Learning outcomes
Aim of the course unit is acquaint students with a teaching about motion of rigid bodies and elastic bodies and their systems with emphasis on motion, on instances make clear bases of oscillating of discrete systems and systems with continuously distributed parameters (continuums).
After graduation of the subject can student set together and solve equations of motion for dynamics of particle, of rigid body and their systems, can calculate moments of inertia and products of inertia of rigid bodies, has basic knowledges to solving linear vibrating systems with single and two degree of freedom and have mastered the bases vibration of continuums.
Prerequisites
Presumption of successful studies is very good knowledge of Mechanics I and Mechanics II of baccalaureate studies.

Assessment methods and criteria
