Course content
Fundamental terms, a force, moment of a force about an axis, moment of a force about a point, couple, mechanical work, power, efficiency, gravitational field, field of elastic forces. Axioms and basic principle. Force systems, analytical solution. Force systems, graphical solution, the basic problems with forces in a plane. Static moment, centre of gravity of plane curves and surfaces, centre of gravity of space surfaces, centre of gravity of rigid bodies. Classification of ideal constraints, release of rigid body from basic frame, analytical and graphical solutions, reactions of beams. Definition, idntfication and transfer function of binary member in the system of rigid bodies, graphical solution of plane systems. Analytical solving of plane systems. Examples solution of equilibrium of rigid bodies systems in a space. Passive resistances. Trusses. Stability in the gravitational field. Analytical statics, virtual work. Time reserv, summary.

Learning outcomes
Aim of the course unit is acquaint students with axioms and basic theorems of statics, with lawes of static equivalence and static equilibrium of forces systems acting on rigid bodies and their systems, with questions statical investigation of equilibrium of rigid body and systems of rigid bodies; on the instances explain substance of calculations and learn students apply theoretic knowledges for problem solution technical practice.
After graduation of the subject can student determine analyticcaly and graphiccaly effects of force actuating on rigid body and their systems for ideal constraints as well as with passive resistance, can calculate coordinates of centre of gravity a surfaces, lines and rigid bodies, its acquinated with theory of fields, is able to solve a trusses, can determine a courses of internal effects of beams and is acquainted with bases of analytical statics.
Prerequisites
Unconditional presumption of successful studies the subject is knowledge of thorough groundings from subjects: Mathematics I, Mathematics II, Physics I .
