Forced Longitudinal Vibration of Uniform bars. Torsional Vibration of Shafts. Torsional Vibration of Shafts with Rigid Disks. Ritz method - Natural Torsional Vibration. Transverse Vibration of Uniform Beams. Solution of Simplified wave equation. Forced Undamping Transverse Vibration of Uniform Beams. Rayleigh´s Method - Transverse Vibration of Beams with Rigid Masses. Vibration of Plates.

Learning outcomes
|
Aim the subject is acquaint students with solving vibrating motions of systems with final as well as with infinite numbers degrees of freedom as are damped or undamped chains, strings, rods, beams, shafts and plates.
Having absolved the subject "Applied Mechanics", the student can describe and analyze the vibrations of continuums.

Prerequisites
|
The following basis knowledge is supposed: mathematics (linear algebra, matrix calculus, eigenproblems, partial differential equations), mechanics (dynamics, strength of materials).
