Learning activities and teaching methods
Monologic (reading, lecture, briefing)
  • Home preparation for classes - 60 hours per semester
  • Contact teaching - 40 hours per semester
  • Preparation for an exam - 50 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to introduce the properties and operational behaviour of particular structural materials grades, with the specific requirements for transport means. The lectures are targeted at degradation mechanisms regarding the technological processing procedures and the operating loading.
Students will gain knowledge about the behavior of materials under specific loading conditions, and methods of material quality control.
Prerequisites
Knowledge of internal construction and mechanical testing of materials

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral examination
