Materials classification. Metallic bond, Crystal structure and microstructure of metals. Mechanical and physical properties of metals. Technology of metals production. Pyrometallurgy. Hydrometallurgy. Low melting metals and alloys. Refractory metals. Noble metals. Phase diagram Fe-Fe3C. Production of iron and steel. Powder metallurgy. Corrosion and nits prevention.

Written examination
Examination is written, 2 tests within the semester. Students prepares for the examination also report of 5 pages on the given topics.
