Course content
UV/VIS spectroscopy, AAS,FTIR and Raman spectroscopy, NMR, ESR spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction and X-ray flourescence methods, Mössbauer spectroscopy, Thermal analysis methods, Light, transmission and scanning electron microscopy, Auger spectroscopy, Mass spectroscopy, SIMS, UPS, ESCA, AFM, STM, fotoacustic mikroscopy, Mothods for characterization of powder materials (density, particle size analysis, surface analysis, image analysis).

Learning outcomes
Course covers basic instrumental techniques commonly used in modern materials characterization (light, transmission and scanning electron microscopy, thermal analysis methods, methods for measuring particle size distribution, X-ray diffraction, fluorescence X-ray spectroscopy, vibrational spectroscopy (NMR, Raman and FTIR)etc.
At the end of the course, the student should be able to know the various basic instrumental methods commonly used in modern materials characterization.

Lectures are closed by final exam test and oral examination in the end of semestr.
