Course content
Vacuum technology. Preparation of chalcogenide glasses in evacuated silica tubes. Preparation and characterization of non-traditional oxide glasses (phosphate, borophosphate, tellurate glasses). Studdy of their stucture by MAS NMR, Raman and IR spectroscopy. Preparation of glasses for various analysis (cutting, polishing, etc.).Preparation and characterization of dielectric powder materials. Measuring of their relative permitivity, high-frequency conductivity, dielectric lost factor etc.).Preparation and characterization of thin layers and monocrystals.

Learning outcomes
Set of advanced laboratory experiments regarding the praparation and characterization of inorganic materials.
At the end of the course, the student should be able to use the various advanced methods of preparation and characterization of inorganic materials in practise.

Assessment methods and criteria
Written examination

Working on the laboratory. Making laboratory protocols with a presentation and discussion of the obtained results. Final exam test covering theoretical and practical knowledges.
