Course content
|
Introduction into the subject basal stimulation (history, situation in the Czech republic, use, objectives, theoretical ground, basic elements of the concept). Follow-up parts of the concept (optical and auditory stimulation). Initial touch (experiential seminar). Somatic stimulation (mitigating bath, stimulating bath, neurophysiological bath). Somatic stimulation (position nest, position mummy). Vibratory stimulation. Vestibular stimulation. Olfactory and oral stimulation. Tactile-haptic stimulation.

Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the course is to acquaint students with the Basal Stimulation concept, its history, contemporary situation in the Czech Republic, and with basic and extended elements of the concept. To teach students how to use basic techniques of individual elements of the Basal Stimulation concept. The student knows basic and extended elements of the Basal Stimulation concept.
The student knows basic and extended elements of the Basal Stimulation concept. He/she is able to use individual elements of the concept. He/she knows indications for using individual elements of the concept and selects procedures suitable for the patient.

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Student performance assessment, Didactic test
Completion of compulsory 80% attendance at the practicum sessions and lectures. Correct implementation of the assigned technique and its theoretical interpretation.
