Course content
|
The basis of law, the role of law in the society, legal awareness, sources of law, legal norms. Legal relations, the concept and the role of legal relations, legal actions, subjects, content and objects of legal relations. Selected parts of civil law, general provisions, liability. Selected parts of labour law, general provisions, employment, and contracts for work other than employment. Contractual relationship. Selected parts of criminal law. Selected medical legislation, law on public health care, organization and operation of healthcare facilities, the issue of informed consent, protection of human rights.

Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the course is to form the health worker's personality, their qualities of character, intellect and profession, and to increase their sensitivity to ethical problems of contemporary health care.
Students are able to explain basic philosophical - ethical and legal concepts and they are well versed in contemporary ethical problems and basic legal regulations in health care, which are necessary for their practical education.

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Written examination
Fulfilling the mandatory 80% participation in exercises. Completion of tasks assigned in exercises and seminars. Completion of a written test or an oral examination as decided by the subject guarantor.
