Course content
|
Health and its determinants. Health condition of the population in the world and in the Czech Republic, related factors. WHO programme "Health for all in the 21st century". National, regional and sub-national health promotion programmes, their objectives and priorities. Principles for maintenance and development of health. Healthy way of life, responsibility for own health - lifestyle, proper nutrition. Education for a healthy lifestyle. Individual health education - goals, plan, methods, means. Group health education - goals, plan, methods, means.

Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the course is to provide students with basic information about philosophical approaches to health, programs aimed at health protection and promotion, and principles of individual and group health education.
The student can explain different concepts of health, understands the differences between the terms "health protection" and "health promotion", orients himself in health promotion programs, health education methods. He can apply the acquired information in specific situations for specific individuals or groups.

Completion of mandatory 80% participation in seminars. Completion of a written test or oral examination according to the decision of the subject guarantor.
