Introduction - basic terminology, types of education, pedagogy, andragogy, geragogy, adult learning principle, learning theories applied to education. Educational process. Assessing the learner, motivation, theory of change, health literacy. Developmental stages. Education plan, educational goals, educational objectives. Education of individuals and groups. Breaking the ice. Preparing the environment. Implementing education, education methods, instructional materials. Evaluation of education. Future Trends. Learning contracts. Experience with education - discussion: assessing learning needs, style of learning, preparedness to learn. Education in health care across the life span. Health literacy, educational materials comprehension. Aims of education, education plan, educational agreements and preparation of conditions for education. Education methods, instructional materials. Evaluation. Educational records in practice.

Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the course is to provide deeper information about the education process and practical training of educational skills using a wide range of educational methods in the field of health care.
Students apply knowledge and experience gained during lectures and seminars into practice. Students can obtain an educational history. Students are able to prepare and use educational programmes for healthy, ill and handicapped people in all developmental stages. Students are able to conceive education and educational programmes in the field of health care. Students successfully perform evaluation of the educational process and they are able to view the education from a systemic point of view.

Written examination, Home assignment evaluation
Fulfillment of the mandatory 50% attendance at lectures. Fulfillment of the mandatory active 80% participation in exercises. Processing of assigned written work. Passing a written test.
