Course content
|
Anatomical terminology and orientation of the body. The locomotor system. Tissues, bones, muscles, and joints. Anatomy of the head and neck. Anatomy of the spine and chest. Anatomy of the upper and lower extremity. Muscles of the chest, abdomen, and pelvic floor. Anatomy of the larynx, trachea, and bronchi. Anatomy of the lungs, pleura, and mediastinum. Anatomy of the oral cavity, pharynx, and oesophagus. Anatomy of the stomach, small intestine, and colon. Anatomy of the liver, gallbladder, pancreas, and peritoneum. Anatomy of the heart and blood vessels. Anatomy of the urinary system.

Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the subject is to acquaint students with the macroscopic and microscopic structure of the human body and to teach them to use the professional medical language.
Students correctly present the structure and placement of organs, use professional terms and understand them, and apply the acquired knowledge in practice. Based on knowledge of anatomy, they understand the context for the prevention and treatment of diseases.

Didactic test
Completion of compulsory 75% attendance at the lectures. Completion of a written test.
