Course content
|
Anatomical terminology and location in the body. The locomotor system. Tissues, joints, and muscles. Anatomy of the head and neck. Anatomy of the spine and chest. Anatomy of the upper extremity. Anatomy of the lower extremity. Muscles of the chest, abdomen, and pelvic floor. Anatomy of the larynx, trachea, and bronchi. Anatomy of the lungs, pleura, and mediastinum. Anatomy of the oral cavity, pharynx, and oesophagus. Anatomy of the stomach, small intestine, and large intestine. Anatomy of the liver, gallbladder, pancreas, and peritoneum. Anatomy of the heart and blood vessels. Anatomy of the urinary system.

Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the course is to acquaint students with macroscopic as well as microscopic structure of the human body and to teach them to use specialized medical language.
The student correctly presents on organ structure and location, uses and understands specialized terminology, and practically applies gained knowledge. Based on knowledge of anatomy, the student understands relationships concerning illness prevention and treatment.

Assessment methods and criteria

Didactic test
Cpmpletion of compulsory 80% attendance at the lectures. Completion of compulsory 80% attendance at the practicum sessions. Successful completion of a written test.
