Course content
Anatomical nomenclature and orientation on the body. Locomotor system. Tissues, bones, muscles, joints. Anatomy of the head and neck. Anatomy of the spine and thorax. Anatomy of the upper and lower limbs. Muscles of the chest, abdomen and pelvic floor. Anatomy of the larynx, trachea and bronchi. Anatomy of the lungs, pleura and mediastinum. Anatomy of the oral cavity, pharynx and oesophagus. Anatomy of the stomach, small intestine and large intestine. Anatomy of the liver, gall bladder, pancreas and peritoneum. Anatomy of the heart and blood vessels. Anatomy of the urinary tract. Orientation on the human body. Anatomy of the skeletal system. Anatomy of the skeletal musculature. Anatomy of the digestive system.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to acquaint students with macroscopic as well as microscopic structure of the human body and to teach them to use specialized medical language.
The student correctly presents on organ structure and location, uses and understands specialized terminology, and practically applies gained knowledge. Based on knowledge of anatomy, the student understands relationships concerning illness prevention and treatment.

Assessment methods and criteria
Didactic test

Completion of compulsory 80% attendance at the practicum sessions. Successful completion of a written test. Compliance with a written test or oral examination as decided by the guarantor of the subject.
