Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to prepare students for specialized rescue work in situations involving radiation accidents and disasters.
Student will acquire basic knowledge of biomechanics of blood circulation and respiration, influence of electric current and magnetic field on organisms, and fundamentals of acoustics and optics. The student knows basic characteristics and units of ionising and nonionising radiation, sources of radiation, and basic principles of radiation protection, he/she knows and is able to use individual protection instruments, radiation survey and dosimetric control devices, and is able to provide first aid to irradiated and contaminated persons.
Prerequisites
unspecified

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral examination

Successful completion of an oral examination. Completion of compulsory 80% attendance at the lectures, seminars. Granting a credit based on the results of final test.
