Course content
|
The importance of the terminology, pronunciation, accent. The first declension, Latin and Greek nouns, prepositions. The second declension, Latin and Greek masculines and neuters. Latin adjectives in the first and second declension. The third declension, nouns. Adjectives in the third declension.

Learning outcomes
|
The subject acquaints students with fundamentals of Latin, Graecolatin, and Greek nomenclature, enhances confidence in other subjects, and enables understanding of professional Latin communication in health care.
Students can orient themselves in professional nomenclature, and will be capable to understand and interpret diagnostic information. Students are capable of using nomenclature independently at work.

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Oral examination, Didactic test
Completion of compulsory 80% attendance at the practicum sessions and seminars. Successful completion of an oral examination.
