Course content
Significance of the terminology, pronunciation, accent. 1st declination, Latin and Greek substantives, prepositions. 2nd declination, Latin and Greek masculines and neuters. Latin adjectives of the 1st and the 2nd declinations. 3rd declination, substantives. Adjectives of the 3rd declination. 4th declination. 5th declination, overview of declension in all declinations. Degrees of comparison of adjectives. Degrees of comparison of adjectives: irregular forms. Collected information about Latin verbs. Latin cardinal and ordinal numerals. Derivation using prefixes and suffixes, combinations. Diagnoses in Latin.

Learning outcomes
The course acquaints students with the fundamentals of Latin, Greek-Latin, and Greek terminology.
The student gains a basic understanding of specialized terminology and is able to use it to understand and interpret diagnostic data. The student is able to creatively use the terminology by himself/herself during work procedures.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral examination, Oral performance analysis, Didactic test, Discussion

Completion of compulsory 80% attendance at the practicum sessions, demonstration of basic knowledge by writing three announced tests. Successful completion of an oral examination.
