Course content
Nursing care unit, protective therapeutic regimen. Bed care, patient positions. Hygienic care, pressure ulcers, rash. Bandages, dressing materials. Caring for supplies, preparation for surgery, dressings, instruments, drains, and drainage systems. Caring for the client's basic biological needs, physiological functions. Learning outcomes
The aim of the subject is to gain theoretical knowledge and practical skills to perform nursing procedures that constitute the core of professional skills of nurses, midwives, and medical paramedics.
The student acquires and uses a basic manual skill and confidence while performing safe and high-quality specialized functions and procedures in the care of clients. The student independently performs individual nursing procedures and respects the client's individual needs.

Assessment methods and criteria
Student performance assessment, Didactic test

Completion of compulsory 80% attendance at the lectures, practicum sessions and seminars. Fulfillment of the tests in exercises at 70%. Successful completion of a written test 70%. Fulfillment of practical credit.
