Course content
Psychology as a scientific discipline. Methods for learning about mental life. Mental processes. Introduction to personality psychology. Theories of personality. Innate characteristics of the personality.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the subject is to provide students with basic information on general, developmental, and social psychology and to acquaint them with the essence of personality while emphasizing the personality of the patient.
Students are able to explain the status of psychology as a science in the system of social sciences, are able to analyse mental activities, processes and states, and their disorders. Through knowledge of theirr personality, students understand other people better. They understand the diversity of the human psyche in different developmental stages. They can use basic techniques of coping with stressful situations.

Completion of compulsory 50% attendance at the lectures. Successful completion of written or oral testing according to the decision of the guarantor of the subject.
