Course content
Essentials of law, role of law in society, legal consciousness, sources of law, legal norms. Legal relations, concept and nature of legal relationship, legal conduct, subjects content and objects, legal relationship. Selected parts of civil law, general provisions, liability for damage. Selected parts of employment law, general provisions, employment relationship, agreements on out-of-work work. Selected parts of commercial law, general provisions, commercial companies, commercial commitment relationships. Selected parts of criminal law. Selected health legislation, the People's Health Care Act, the organisation and operation of health facilities, the issue of informed consent, the protection of human rights.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to shape personality and intellectual and professional traits of the health care professional.
The student is able to explain basic philosophical terms. The student becomes familiar with the course and its significance in a given field. The student gains basic understanding of the subject of philosophy in nursing. Students are able to orientate themselves in legal regulations in health care, which are necessary for their practice.

Assessment methods and criteria
Didactic test

Completion of compulsory 80% attendance at the practicum sessions. Completion of compulsory attendance at the lectures. Successful completion of a written test or an oral examination according to the course guarantor's decision
