Course content

Therapeutic performances. Fundamentals of rehabilitation nursing. Sampling of biological material. Transfusion, haematological examination. Puncture. Care of the dead body. Administration of drugs - principles of manipulation and application of drugs, dosage forms, ways of application, infusion, transfusion, specifics of drug administration to children. Opiates - manipulation and documentation of opiates. Medical rehabilitation. Sampling of biological material. Transfusion, haematological examination. Puncture. Care of the dead body.

Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the course is the acquisition of ability to use basic theoretical knowledge about procedures in midwifery, which forms the core of the professional skills of midwives.
Students know the principles of basic procedures in midwifery, accept methodological recommendations that relate to the issue, and work according to the latest scientific findings. They are able to plan, lead, evaluate the care provided in midwifery, and prevent undesirable situations, which result from the implementation of midwifery care within multidisciplinary teams.

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Written examination
The fulfillment of compulsory 80% attendance at lectures, exercises and seminars. The fulfillment continuous tests in exercises at 70%. The fulfillment of a written test of 70%. The fulfillment of the practical test.
