Course content
Introduction to the field of pathology, pathology-anatomy department. Principles of work with biological material. Causes of diseases, prevention, etiopathogenesis of diseases. Regressive and metabolic changes, death, necrosis, gangrene, atrophy, pigmentation disorders, formation of concretions in the body. Inflammation - general manifestations of inflammation. Progressive changes, regeneration. Ischemia, thrombosis, embolism, infarction. Lifestyle diseases - atherosclerosis and its complications. General oncology - basic concepts.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to provide students with basic information about the causes and development of diseases and to explain their morphological manifestations.
Students understand the etiopathogenesis of diseases, distinguish disorders and changes at the level of cells, tissues, individual organs or the organism as a whole.

Written examination
