Course content
|
Introduction to the primary health care system in the area of health care and health promotion. Introduction to activities of organizations functioning in the area of primary care and in the field of health education and health promotion. Evaluation of the development of healthy individuals, families, or groups. Using the health education methods. Practice: nursing activities while implementing, in phases, the nursing process in real situations. Using theoretical knowledge and acquiring practical skills. Respecting patient rights. Using the principles of ethics at work. Individual nursing care of selected groups of patients using the nursing process. Using the nursing procedures and principles in the care of sick adults and children. Respecting the special features of the childhood age.

Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the course is to gain knowledge about organization of work in individual types of health care institutions and to apply gained knowledge and skills to clinical practice settings.
The student masters nursing procedures and actions according to standards. The student seeks out and meets the needs of clients based on an active and individualized nursing care implemented according to the nursing process, participates in interdisciplinary team collaboration, respects and abides by valid laws and regulations.

It is compulsory to complete 100% attendance in the internship. It is compulsory to complete the determined procedures and nursing processes. Completing assigned written work.
