Introduction to crisis intervention, and terminology. Crisis intervention face to face. Telephone crisis intervention. Working with emotions in crisis intervention. Psychosocial support system in a crisis intervention. Putting into the issue. Practical basic procedures of crisis intervention, face to face. The techniques of telephone crisis intervention. Crisis intervention for children and their families. Crisis intervention with adolescents. Crisis intervention in partnership, marriage. Learning outcomes

The aim of the course is to acquaint students with issues of crisis intervention in the work of the medico-social worker.
Student knows the basic forms and techniques of crisis intervention. Student becomes familiar with the principles of working with emotions in crisis intervention.
