Course content
The module develops understanding of technical English with focus on following areas: Offset lithography (sheet-fed, web) Flexography Gravure Sreen printing Pad transfer printing Digital printing technologies, Inkjet, electrophotography, DI

Learning activities and teaching methods
Monologic (reading, lecture, briefing), Dialogic (discussion, interview, brainstorming), Work with text (with textbook, with book)
Learning outcomes
The module develops an English language knowledge and communication skills in the area of graphic arts.
On completion of this module the student should gain sufficient knowledge to be able to make a business and interact with foreign customers and acquire fundamental skills and vocabulary that will help them in presentation of their work at international conferences.
Prerequisites
Basic knowledge of English is required. Participants should be able to read simple text, exchange information and understand the main points of spoken language.

Assessment methods and criteria
Discussion

This module will be assessed through a speaking test ? discussion related to some printing techniques precedent by written report at chosen topic of about 200 words. The speaking test examines the level of understanding and ability to deal with situation likely to arise in printing house.
