Course content
|
Health and social politics - definitions, basic principles. The role of preventive medicine and public health in the system of public health care. General epidemiology and methods of its functioning. Hygiene and epidemiology in the question of public health protection. Occurrence of infectious diseases and its prevention. Addiction issues. Industrial medicine. Prevention of lifestyle diseases. Social marketing. Medical statistics and demography. Addiction issues. Occurrence of infectious diseases and its prevention.

Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the course is to get students acquainted with complex issues of state health policy focused on prevention and health promotion, to provide them basic concepts, topics, priorities and strategies of health and social policy.
Students know the priorities and strategies of health and social policy, accept the legislative and methodological recommendations related to the issue, are able to plan, lead, and evaluate the nursing process and to prevent undesirable situations resulting from the implementation of nursing care within multidisciplinary teams.

Fulfilling the mandatory 80% participation in exercises. Completion of a written test or an oral examination as decided by the subject guarantor.
