Course content
Educating as a scientific discipline. Teaching principles. Educational reality: basic concepts and relationships. Types of educating. The educating process, the learning. The educator subject, the educator profession. an educational environment. Didactics in nursing. Traditional and activating teaching methods. A nurse in an educator role. EUR model. Alternative teaching methods used in educating. Discussions on the profession of health educator. Basic assumptions of educating. Didactic principles in health care. Drawing up an educational plan. Organization of an educational lesson. Evaluation of education. Criteria for assessing the educator and the educted. The nurse in the role of the educator. Types of education. Basic assumptions of education. Education history. The method of education plan: goal, contents, knowledge, supplies. Organization of education lessons; the education program. The EUR model. Evaluating education, criteria for the evaluation of the educator and the learner.

Learning outcomes
The aim is to introduce learners to basic concepts and topics from the field of pedagogy and education.
The learner applies the knowledge and experience gained in lectures and exercises to the practice of the educational process. The learner is able to construct an educational plan using correct didactic foundations in health care to educate the healthy, sick and handicapped at all developmental periods. The learner can do an evaluation of the educating process. In comprehensive planning for educating, the learner navigates the E model. U. R. - evocation, awareness of meaning and reflection.

Compliance with the mandatory 80% participation in exercises. Compliance with a written test or oral examination as decided by the guarantor of the course.
