|
Health and its determinants. Health and social policy. A healthy way of life. Hygiene and epidemiology in the field of public health protection. Methods of health education and their use. The question of drug addiction. Basics of health systems in the world and in the Czech Republic. eu and WHO health policies. National implementation of who's health policy. Types and forms of health services and conditions of their provision in health facilities in the Czech Republic.

Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the course is to acquaint students with complex issues of health politics of the state with primary focus on health prevention and support. The subject concerns international collaboration in health care, WHO structure, tasks and programs, basic kinds of health care system in the world and health protection establishments and their tasks.
By completing the course, the student should acquire professional knowledge and skills in promoting and maintaining health while following a healthy lifestyle. Furthermore, it should be able to provide effective education based on relevant assessments of projective and risk determinants of individual, family and community health.

Completion of compulsory 80% attendance at the lectures. Compliance with a written test.
