Health care, social politics, and prevention. Principles of health maintenance and their application to everyday life. The World Health Organization program. The National Program for the Support of Health - NPPZ. Regional goals "Health for all into the 21st century". Ecological environment. Damaging health in the adolescent period. Prevention of civilising diseases. Social marketing. Health statistics and demographics. Infectious disease incidence and prevention. Health education - goals, plan, methods, means.

Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the course is to acquaint students with issues related to health promotion and with questions concerning health, illness, and health status of the population.
The student knows and uses various educational methods to provide health care and to prevent illness in individuals, groups, and the entire society.

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Oral examination, Written examination, Home assignment evaluation
Completion of compulsory 80% at the practicum sessions. Compliance with a written test or oral examination as decided by the guarantor of the subject.
