Course content
Social counselling. Social therapy. Case work. Individual planning in the process of social work. Introduction to social work with families. The multidisciplinary team in the care of the social services client. Interdisciplinary collaboration in social work practice. Introduction to community social work. Practical examples and demonstrations in social counselling. Practical examples of different forms of individual planning. Practical examples of case studies. Practical examples and demonstrations in social therapy. Practical examples and demonstrations in social work with families. Practical examples and demonstrations in social work with a community.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to provide students with a basic overview of the development of social work and its legitimacy, to adopt the values of social work and acquire the terminology of social work, to become familiar with the main currents of thought influencing the development of social work and to know the theoretical models relevant to social work.
Students are familiar with individual methods of social work and their use in practice

Specified compulsory attendance in seminars and lectures. Passing a written test or an oral exam, or other conditions, as decided by the course guarantor. Completing assigned task / seminar paper.
