Course content
|
Overview of anatomy important in obstetrics. Prenatal medicine. Differentiated prenatal care. Determining obstetric risks. Pregnancy-related changed in the woman´s body. Diagnosing pregnancy. Obstetric examination in individual pregnancy trimesters . Foetal positioning in utero at the end of pregnancy. Specialized examination methods during pregnancy. Biochemical, endocrinological, bacteriological, and serological tests during pregnancy. Pharmacotherapy in pregnancy.

Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the course is to acquaint students with the course of gravidity, labour and delivery, and puerperium, with the possible complications and risk factors.
Students build on their knowledge of anatomy, physiology, embryonology, and genetics. Students become familiar with obstetrical issues and they use their theoretical and practical knowledge of the field in the practical courses.
