To gain practical skills and to compare theoretical ideas concerning health and social work with their practical implementation. Supervision aims to develop a culture of ethics in health and social work, to develop skills, to develop the ability to work in a team, and to develop reflection and self-reflection skills.
Students have experience with social relationships and ways of work in social service organizations under supervision of an authorized employee of the organization. They develop their professional competences, their abilities to engage in reflection and critical thinking, are able to compare the theoretical knowledge of health and social work with practice. Students use supervision as an integral part of the internship. Under supervision, they are able to address such questions that assist them to handle a variety of situations in their practice and to integrate experience and knowledge. In facilities providing social services, the weekly number of hours is set at 30 hours per week due to a practice requirement to complete only a 6-hour work shift.
