Course content
Developmental defects of the reproductive system. Endocrine syndromes. Irregularities of the menstrual cycle. Endometriosis. Minimally invasive gynaecological surgery. Abdominal gynaecological surgery. Palliative procedures and surgery in gynaecology. Specific features of gynaecological surgery and post-operative complications.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to gain knowledge about diagnostics and treatment of diseases of the woman's reproductive system. An important part of gynaecology is the prevention of serious gynaecological diseases. An important characteristic of the specialty is the fact that it is at the border between surgical and internal medicine specialties.
Student is versed in the basic problems in the field of gynaecology and he/she applies knowledge in the follow-up courses.

Fulfilling specified compulsory 80% attendance at lectures. Passing an oral exam.
