Development of social work in healthcare in the Czech Republic. Education of health and social workers in the Czech Republic. Multisystemic approach in social work in healthcare. The workload of social workers in the healthcare. Social work in healthcare with individual. Social work in health care with the group. Psychosocial aspects of health and illness. Specific target groups - minors, the disabled. Ethnic groups. The quality of social work in healthcare. Practical examples of social work with children clients. Practical examples of social work with disabled people. Practical examples of social work in healthcare to the individual. Practical examples of social work in healthcare with the group. Presentation of seminar papers students.

Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the course is to inform the students about the basics aspect of social work in heathcare, with probable types of clients and social consequences of illnesses. The course follows from the course Theories and methods of social work I. and II.
The student knows a history of social work in healthcare and he/ she is oriented in psychosocial aspects of illness, he/ she can apply each method of social work in heathcare environment , he/ she is able to work with specific target groups of clients.
